Private Workshops - Chocolate Bonbons
After many requests and with the more and more hobby bakers or professionals wanting to start making their own wedding favours or chocolates for their dessert table, The Cake Botanist is now open for Chocolate Bonbons Private Workshops!
This is a great opportunity if you want to perfect your tempering skills and learn how to work with different types of chocolate, moulds and working with basic kitchen equipment that will allow you to recreate chocolate decorations from your home kitchen.
This Class is very hands on and technical but as it is designed as a 1-1 session it is open to all levels, just bring your ethusiasm! The Cake Botanist will design the class around your skill level and fit in the right amount into the lesson plan so you are not overwhelmed neither waiting for more!
The Cake Botanist regularly conducts private classes locally in London and the U.K but also travels worldwide to offer tailor made, one to one or group workshops.

I attended a private class for 3 days with Naomi last week which was just amazing! We made and stacked two cakes, one with buttercream and one with fondant (pictured) I learned so much about how to perfect my cakes. From sharp edges to keeping your cakes straight! We also made both wafer and sugarpaste flowers. Naomi has a patient teaching style which is clean and organised. I have been making cakes for many years and there is still so much to learn. I just finished my 2 days course with Naomi where I learned how to make beautiful sugar flowers, wafer flowers and painting on a cake, and I have to say she is such a great tutor, highly skilled and experienced who never fails to share all details and tricks! Came to UK for a short visit and wanted to learn about cake decoration and loved Naomi's work! So before coming here to United Kingdom I planned everything with her, what all I want to learn in specific, and she made a proper plan on how the four days would go. It wasn't easy, as I wanted to learn so much in a short time. But she made sure to cover what all I'd mention in my learning points. I took the four day private masterclass with Naomi! those four days were filled with loads of learning and new stuff which I didn't know earlier. She was super patient with me and made sure I learn everything in the correct and professional way. And gave loads of extra tips as well. Must say you have really great teaching skills.
P.s- Her private classes take place in a really cute corner of her house i.e her studio. Super bright and vibrant. <3 Way to go girl! Would love to take more classes in my next visit!

The two day private class with Naomi was by far the best thing I could have ever done. Her class surpassed my expectations. I took a private course with Naomi and it was a fantastic investment. She gave me the confidence to create beautiful tiered buttercream and ganache cakes on my own. She was a patient and informative teacher. The day was structured perfectly: laid back yet jam packed with tips and techniques. The day-long session took place in her cosy and well-equipped studio. I felt I benefitted from a one-to-one session and received thorough coaching that I may not have received from a larger class setting. I would highly recommend a private class with Naomi to beginners, or advanced bakers looking to build on their skills.

I felt very lucky to have met Naomi in London at Peggy Porchen's class as she was such a good teacher even when we only had a one day session. Knowing that she would return to Singapore for holiday, I immediately asked to have private lessons with her.The two day sessions with Naomi was such an eye opener, learning how to use sugar paste and made beautiful flowers for my mini cakes, making chocolate ganache coating for layer cake, tips of making royal icing without a creating mess in kitchen etc.Naomi was very patience watching me piping on cookies, showing me tips on various piping skills. Her teaching method is thorough and meticulous which is very important to any student. Watching how she worked really inspires me to be a better baker.I thoroughly enjoyed my lessons and will definitely have lessons with her again so I can achieve higher standard in making sugar paste flowers like hers hopefully. I had an amazing opportunity to have a one to one private class with Naomi last month. I had always been fascinated and at the same time intimidated by sugar flowers and attending her classes has by far been my best decision. She is a great teacher and will go all the way to help you reach your potential. Within the short time she had, she managed to teach me 3 large flowers and I couldn't be happier with the outcome. She will surely put her 100% to teach n if you are committed to try and do the same you too can get amazing results. It was fun and stress free when attending Chef Naomi Lee's class. Although she's a great baker and well known cake stylist, she's very easy going and friendly. I have attended many baking classes, and this is by far, one of my favoruite class. I had a lot of fun!
Learnt alot from the class too! Have signed up for another of her class!
